How will I know when my roof needs attention?

Usually, roof problems are identified after leaking or other damage occurs. A full inspection may uncover cracked or missing tiles, damaged leadwork, deteriorated flashings, or rubble and tile pieces accumulating in the gutters or on the ground. Indoors, cracked paintwork, discoloured plasterboard, and peeling wallpaper are possible signs of damaged roof areas.

My roof is leaking, do I need to have it completely replaced?

Usually not. At Southdown Roofing we always endeavour to repair a roof before suggesting a complete new roof. Your roof may be leaking through areas of tiling that have become damaged or where leadwork is deteriorating. These types of problems can be remedied quite simply.

What are my options if I decide I may need a new roof?
